DBS Address History
Mods: if this is in the wrong place feel free to move it. Thx. And apologies for the length - context is useful. Since taking semi-retirement a few years ago I've used my time productively to include p/t & voluntary work involving in some case children & vulnerable adults. Each role needs an Enhanced DBS Check; all three…

Holiday entitlement rights after TUPE
Hi My company was taken over under TUPE in October and my contract states 32 days (including bank holidays) holidays per year pro Rata. I only work 2 mornings a week 8 hours in total. They have changed it to 44.8 hours a year which I think is wrong. Any advice or someone to work it out for me please. Thanks

Not been paid since November 2023, employer just become insolvent
Hello I've been working for the same company since July 2015. At the end of 2023, the company account was frozen by HMRC, and they petitioned for winding up. The company applied for a CVA, and was given a number of extensions by HMRC, but they ran out of patience in April, and the company was wound up at the end of April.…

Being paid cash/cheque and standing order
Is it a little odd that an employer would pay staff a mix of cash and cheque (some months, employees would recieve both) and for staff with more fixed hours are paid by standing order definitely not BACS? The rationale for standing order is that those employees get the exact same money each month so as it never changes its…

Pay Rise advice
Last April 2023 my company advised that there was no money for a pay rise. In the same letter it was declared that we may all get a bonus in Novembers pay if we reduce waste, £150 per percentage decrease in waste, it could be between 1% and 10%. New year came and we were told we hadn't reduced waste, so no bonus. Around…
