Student discounts when doing an apprenticeship

I'm going to be starting a level 4 apprenticeship at the end of this month whilst working for existing employer - am I going to be eligible for any student discounts? If so, which is the best site - so far I can see Totum (paid), Unidays and Student Beans.

Do you have an academic (ending .ac.uk) email address? If you do then you'll find it's no problem to get access to discounts.

student beans, Unidays and Totum are the key sites. Totum will also provide a physical card.

I do already as I'm staff at a university but I know for Unidays for example, the discounts are different for staff than for students, so I'm wondering if they are different again for apprentices.

If you're doing any formal study away from the employer, then if you get a student / library card there you may be able to use it locally without joining any of the other schemes.

If you look at the sites you mention, some of them talk specifically about apprentice discounts, but I think you're going to have to look at each site to work out which is best for you. You may find that companies offering a discount offer it on all sites, but if there's anything that really matters to you, you need to check how you can get that discount.

Talking to your fellow apprentices (assuming you meet up with them either in person or online) might be useful - hopefully others will have done their research!
Googling on your question might have been both quicker and easier, if you're only after simple facts rather than opinions!
