new job but self employed as well

i am self employed  driver starting a seconnd job wich will be paye, but dont know wich box to tick on the p46 "your present circumstances" a b or c any help would be great

    A P46 is no longer used - your employer should be asking you to complete a starter checklist: https://www.gov.uk/guidance/starter-checklist-for-paye
    Googling on your question might have been both quicker and easier, if you're only after simple facts rather than opinions!

    None would be wrong.

    You need to decide if you want to  pay less tax now and (if necessary) more later via your Self Assessment return.

    If you go for statement A you will be given the emergency tax code (1257L) on a cumulative basis so you won't pay tax until your income reaches your tax code allowances (approx £4.2k by the month to 5 August).

    Statement B is same code but non cumulative so just the first £1,048 is paid without tax then probably just 20% above that.

    Statement C means 20% tax from each payment.
