Credit score help, with Littlewoods
Hello, so I’ll start by saying I’m not completely educated on credit scores and how they work and what affect them other than the obvious. So I’m here to ask a few questions. I'm trying to move out of home as a first time renter and my credit score is terrible. Well, except it’s not. It’s 408 on clearscore but 912 on…

Joint account with ex partner!
Hi, looking for some advice. I recently managed to track down my ex who I had a joint account with. His business went under and so he took an IVA in his name and consolidated everything. When we split up I'd asked him to remove my name from the joint bank, long story short he didn't. I eventually got him to the bank and we…

Credit File inconsistencies - affecting rating
Hi everyone, Just looking for some advice. I've been working on my credit file and it's doing quite well. Experian and TransUnion both report score as excellent, but Equifax is under 500/1000. I have checked and it seems to be because my credit card is not on ClearScore (Equifax) for some reason but it it is on the other…

Missed monthly payment on credit file
Looking for some help as I am hoping to get a mortgage soon. My energy provider has said I missed my monthly payment in October but I was told by them to cancel my direct debit as they where changing it from £100 to £290 which I challenged and paid £150 over the phone. I now have an arrangement for a new direct debit for…

Very.co.uk
Hi. I just came out of a BNPL and interest has been added on at around £100. This is fine etc. I have no concerns about the amount and paying the debt. The debt is £1500. My first bill has come in at £103. The interest rate in my account is 9.9%. Does anyone know how they arrive at a first payment figure of £103? Basically…

Credit report needed to prove my mortgage is paid-off
So, last week I discovered that my mortgage payment protection plan with L&G was still active, despite my mortgage having been paid-off in 2017. For whatever reason, the small monthly premiums were missed, until I spotted the policy renewal document from last year in a pile old documents I was sorting.I gave them a call,…

Financial Ombudsman Case
Good evening, I recently won a case through the financial ombudsman against a credit card company for unaffordable lending. The debt from the credit card was sold to a debt collection agency. Mortgage Refusal - default removal
Long story short, we have been paying a DMP for several years now and we only have 2 creditors left on this (Started with 9). We have been looking at getting a mortgage and the 1 thing that is stopping us is that one of the remaining creditors has us down as 'defaulted' as they have not been receiving the minimum monthly…

Sudden experian score drop
Hi everyone, I'll start this by saying I know that the actual number given by credit ref agencies isn't what a lender actually looks at but.... My experian score has dropped by 150 points overnight from 'excellent' to 'fair' and I don't know why. I don't pay for the extra report but noticed that in the summary my credit…

Credit Score
Hi All, I have got a credit card to improve my credit score by using it for some of my day-to-day expenditures and then having a direct debit set up to pay the statement off in full each month. Will my credit score improve significantly quicker if I use my credit card for ~£500 a month compared to ~£10 a month for example…

Lowell default incorrectly placed on Equifax credit report.
Would really appreciate any help on this. I’m going through a living nightmare. A couple of years ago I received some threatening letters from Lowell chasing payment for an account with BT. Having never held an account with BT, I was pretty confused and called them up. After speaking with someone over the phone, it became…

Defaults
I have recently been told by my insurance company that they will be issuing a default on my credit report because I was 2 days late paying my insurance. I am on maternity leave and the initial date of the direct debit has always been awkward but as I was working full time I luckily always had the money to hand, on this…

Has any one had any dealings recently with PRA Group?
