Arrangement but NO Arrangement
I admittedly was late on a few payments on my Santander credit card. I ran a credit report on three separate agencies and on two of them these late payments are showing as Arrangements. How can this be he case when I haven't not agreed anything with them. Interestingly on the third agency they just show as late payments.

Identity theft advice - what now?
I've checked my credit report and there are a number of soft searches for insurance (presumably home insurance but could be other types with Admiral, Hastings and others) issued to my old home address (I couldn't redirect mail as it was a block of flats but I thought I'd changed everything over). I contacted Hastings and…

Is there a list of which agencies are used by various companies?
My credit record isn't great. I generally get a report from Clearscore each month, and a CCJ dropped off last month (for a Barclaycard that I never had). They show one defaulted card from 2019 (change of job etc. caused a few issues) that I'm paying back (although as there's no DD in place, and I'm just paying around the…

Hi All, I have had a good read over the forum for advice but I just want to make sure I am clear. Bit of a long story so I will keep brief or as brief as I can. I applied for a distant learning course through a university in March 2016. Due to my job I started at the same time I could not complete this course. Anyway they…

Illegal credit search resulted in large drop in credit score
Q: Is there anything I can do to bring my score to where it was prior to illegal credit search or would I have to rebuild? Context: I had a broadband company salesman lied to me that the search his company does will increase my credit score and it wouldn't leave a footprint. I later found this to be completely false. They…

Today I had a closer look and it said on Experian that I don't have any credit accounts, mortgages or loans on record. Which I…

Building credit score - should I take out a new credit card?
Hi All I went through a period last year where I was using my overdraft with a high credit utilisation on my credit cards and so my credit rating took a hit because of this. Over the last few months I've been working to build it back up but I've hit a bit of a wall and the growth on my score has been slow. The top…

Credit Rating - Should I tell them?
Hi, I have 3 credit cards, two smaller ones (2k each) and a larger one. I've had the larger one 8k since about 1978 and use it most of the time. I always clear all cards each month by DD. Experian is only aware of the two smaller ones and continually sends me updates to check my score, almost always within a few points of…

Very Pay - worth it to save £100?
Not sure if this is the right place or not but I'll ask and see..! Basically it seems if you take out a "Very Pay" credit account you get 20% off. I'm looking for a new laptop, using this 20% off would save me £100 or so vs the cheapest alternative place, Argos or Amazon. I havec zero need for the credit, and I don't want…

Having difficulty disputing a credit file error? Please help!
Hi, new here; I'll try to be concise. When I closed my previous Yorkshire Water account, I was required to provide details as to where I was moving (which I thought strange). This lead to Yorkshire Water passing my details on to the new Utility Company, and an account was automatically opened in my name. However this was a…
