Anti money laundering search on credit file

Hello. I had a quick look at my credit record as I haven't checked on it in a while and I noticed a company that I used to work for over a year ago did an Anti-money laundering search on my file at the end of last year. It says in brackets (cosmos, Cval R) I have no idea what that means. But I'm more concerned that a company that I've had nothing to do with in over a year are doing anti money laundering searches on me. Can anyone advise please?

AFAIK, the anti-money laundering checks are done for FCA compliance (to root out signs of financial crime early on) when opening accounts. Not sure why a company would carry out such searches1

You'd contact the company that carried out the check.0

Hi,
When you were employed by the company that did the check, were you expecting them to carry out any checks on you?
This might be as simple as a check that they hadn't got round to doing when they employed you, or a check that they do every so often and no-one has told the relevant department that you have left.
It is worth contacting them to make the point that you dont work for them anymore and therefore they shouldn't be doing checks. What are you trying to achieve by complaining?0
