Broadband 'always on'
One of the attractions of broadband is the 'always on' facility. Is it always on or does it depend on the type of modem you use. Thanks

Tiscali broadband pt 3
Apologies first but i'm not putting it in a different topic because although it's still Tiscali it's unrelated. If you're on Tiscali and wanting to upgrade they've changed a package. The £15.99 one is 2gig capped and the uncapped was £24.99. Last week they changed this to £19.99 for 6gig capped and i've just been on to…

When I dealt with them I was told that I am indeed on IP stream, but also that I cannot give 30 days notice untill the new provider (ADSL4Less) have taken up the migration code, which happens via BT. When I pressed the Virgin rep about the details, i was basically told…

cheaper aol broadband
most of you are probably aware of this but if you phone aol and say you are cancelling your subscription (going to Tiscali is a good excuse) they will imediately offer 1 meg broadband at £16.99 per month. this equates to about 30% saving on their published rates of £24.99, certainly worth a go if you want to stay with aol.
