Just about to order BT broadband, does anybody know how close your BT extension (i.e. in bedroom) has to be to the main BT socket.
I know a friend of mine had a problem which meant he had to get a wireless router. I don't really want the cost of this !!

should only be a problem if you have poor extension wiring or live a long way from the exchange (ie several miles)
My broadband runs on an extension 35 ft from main socket without any problems and is fine up to 2MbTANSTAAFL !0 -
