We have a new full HD tv and have seen BBC advert saying you don't need a subscription for their HD service. Does anyone know how to get BBC HD channel (and maybe the normal terrestrial channels) without having to pay an extra subscription to Sky. Thank you for any help or advice.

Is it worthless to sign up for sky+HD if you have normal TV (not "HD ready" TV)
I am just wondering if I can use normal TV to watch HD? Is it still gonna be better picture if I use normal TV? or it's the same if you don't have "hd ready" Anyone can suggest me where to get the cheapest (but good) "HD ready" TV? I want more than 22" with the price of less than £250.

Haggling with Sky as a new customer
Anyone tried this? I had a go, but the guy wasn't having any of it, but maybe I just spoke to the wrong person. He would only offer me the same deals as on the site. Virgin Media eventually offered to give me a £5 per month discount but that still worked out more expensive than the Sky equivelant.
