Haggling with Sky as a new customer

Anyone tried this? I had a go, but the guy wasn't having any of it, but maybe I just spoke to the wrong person. He would only offer me the same deals as on the site. Virgin Media eventually offered to give me a £5 per month discount but that still worked out more expensive than the Sky equivelant.

Perhaps that's why Sky were having none of it. If you were able to demonstrate that you could get the same/similar service elsewhere for less then haggling may work, but if not it's unlikely you'll get far - no harm in trying though - as the saying goes if you don't ask....
  • I was getting a quote off of them recently and tried to get a discount, but they didnt budge. I think you could maybe squeeze some off the box/installation.
But generally Sky are very cheap so dont give much money off. Perhaps wait for any special offers to come up.
