Problem with Sky.

Hey guys.

I have two problems with Sky.

I have a TV, Phone and Internet package for 18.50 per month.

Firstly, they charge me twice each month for my package, saying that i'm paying a month in advance, every month, and will do so for 12 months. Surely i am paying 24 months worth of Sky there?

Secondly, i had a man from sky call me a month or so ago. He told me Sky Sports and Movies were on offer, and i could have both for 12.50 for 3 months. I said yes and the channels were put on.

I get my first bill since agreeing to Sky Sports and Movies, and i find out Sky have charged me full price for them.

I ring them and they tell me there was no offer on, nobody rang me and i am lying to them. I think this is grossly unfair and they are ripping me off after offering me a deal and then telling me it doesn't exsist. Can anybody help me?

So are you effectively paying £37/month? I think you need to provide more details, when you joined, whether you pay for sky talk (£5month) what broadband package (mid, base, max) you're on etc.
The full package with Sky with sports and movies costs more than £37/month so it would seem you're getting something of a discount somewhere, but you need to provide more details.
What price are you paying now? You mentioned full price, but what's your bill? Does this include line rental to sky, phone calls etc?

We have the basic TV package, with internet and phoneline, which is 18.50.

We pay this twice monthly, because sky say we need to pay a month in advance, every month.

I only had sky sports and movies last month.

Are you telling us you are paying SKY exactly the same amount regularly each month twice for the one package. If so get back to them as your paying double !!! what you should.

Even if you are paying monthly in advance you would normally only make one payment a month, apart from perhaps the first months payment.

As Colin says - you should not be paying double. Call them and find out what's happening. Is the £18.50 going out twice (separately) or is it just one payment of £37?
I'm just wondering if line rental (instead of BT line rental) is part of your deal - if so that would add another £10 on and perhaps the unlimited sky talk (£5) could be pushing things up too?
