Weird Word problem
One of the subjects I teach at college is numeracy. I’ve inherited a good number of old worksheets written in Word. When checking them I saw that in cases where a ‘divided by’ symbol should be there was an addition sign so I trawled through everything, inserting the correct symbol, saving and closing the documents. Today I…

Connect Printer
I'm asking this on behalf of my boss, who's working from home. He's not very technically minded, and he is having trouble getting his printer/scanner to connect to his phone. He had it connected before, but has since had a new router (Sky Q fitted). He seems to think his printer is bluetooth though, which shouldn't have…

No modems in new stbs with Virgin Media
"V6 box requires its own connection to a Virgin media super hub as the V6 box lacks a built in cable modem unlike the older V+ & Tivo boxes." I am not sure if I have understood this correctly, but V6 set top boxes supplied by VM do not contain a modem which means, unless they are in the same room, it is not possible to…

MSE website broken
It would appear the MSE website is broken on Chrome and Safari at least. Keep getting the "you are using an older browser" message and then everything is just text links with no graphics. Can someone tell the webmaster that they've broken something.

BBC Iplayer
Maybe I'm missing something here, but with more and more content going to iplayer, I am getting frustrated! When I want to fast forward a programme, normally I can see the programme and am able to stop it at the point I want to. This doesn't happen with iplayer, I just see a timer. Is there a way around this?
