Closing down an App oon my PC

Hi
Over the weekend my PC automatically carried out a number of updates. Now when I go to close down my PC I get a message saying 'This app is preventing shutdown'. There is an icon of an app but I cannot click on it to see what the app is. I get an option to shut down anyway.
Is there any way to find out what this app is? I have not opened any app so I assume it is one that must open automatically when I turn on my pc.
Thanks
