Sky box mystery

Hi everyone, I live near Aberdeen and we have a sky box in our lounge and a multi-room box in another room.We cancelled sky about a year ago so use the boxes for free view.
About 4 months ago our boxes started to broadcast London programmes,bbc London news ect.So I assumed the dish must of moved.Then yesterday the lounge dish has gone back to Scottish programmes but the multi room box is still London, if there on the same dish how can we have two regions?

Have you removed the viewing card at all? If not try removing it and reinserting as I believe the card has your postcode associated with it.

Nothing to do with the dish, the satellites that Sky get their channels from will carry all the regional and local variations. It will be down how the Sky box is configured, usually based on postcode. It's possible a software update had messed things up.

Perhaps everyone already knows but you can get all the regions from channel 971 onwards.

No software updates on cancelled boxes of course.

More likely the viewing card has been removed
