    Firstly there is an error in the formula.
    'codelookup'!A2 D385 refers to a table on sheet codelookup that should exist between cells in the range A2:d385. Note the colon between the cells defining the outer corners of that range.
    Is there data there?

    If so then also note that the column being used for the lookup needs to be sorted in ascending order otherwise data can be missed.

    Hi,,yes there is a colon but MSE just keeps inserting a grinning face. I have homed in on the problem in that the codelookup sheet isnt currently visible.. just playing with VBA to set properties to visible..
