Something weird is happening... I bought a WD TV media player, to allow us to watch movies which are on a wireless NAS drive. It works fine in my living room and in my son's bedroom, but in my bedroom each button press on the remote control is repeated several times; it's as if the button presses are echoing or something.…

Could the unthinkable happen as reagrds bank hacked and all account details lost?
Hi folks, This thought crossed my mind this week in light of the seemingly huge cyber attack on Talktalk. Are My IE11 Security Settings Right?
I wish I could say I understood the relevance of these settings but I'm clueless. Looking at IE11's (Win7) Advanced Settings, the security section has all 3 'Use TLS 1.0, 1.1 & 1.2' settings ticked but neither of the 2 'Use SSL 2.0 & 3.0' settings are. Is this correct and what do these settings do?

IGNORE - it arrived eventually
Gmail: 15 minutes ago I sent a e-mail to myself (from the same Gmail account) and it still doesn't show in the Inbox. How come? It is in the 'Sent' folder (not 'Outbox') with all correct details. I tried using the 'soft' built-in refresh for Inbox. So did I soft and hard (Ctrl+F5) refreshing the webpage. Just in case I…

Best journal/diary software?
I'm thinking of starting a personal journal, and was wondering what's the best free journal/diary software available just now? For use on my PC only, nothing online (unless it's secure/trustworthy). I have MS Office 2013, and looked at Journal, but there's not much about it, Googling. There ought to be dedicated…

Windows 10 rollback disaster
Hi, so, Windows 10 wasn't doing it for me. (The window borders so narrow I couldn't resize them without a lot of effort (is there an alternative way to resize?
