Adobe installs / updates can be tricky sometimes. Are you sure you clicked the window to 'allow this program to make changes' ... it's often lurking out of sight down in the taskbar.

Flash doesn't install to that folder, so ignore that.

I think it installs to C:\Windows\sysWOW64, it's impossible to actually find the executable on anything beyond Win7 because the new "improved" search feature in Windows is a pile of cr4p (unless you install a 3rd party search program).

    Go here https://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/

Un-check the McAfee bullsh!t, and download flash.

Check your browser has not disabled Flash too, Firefox keeps doing this because of major security flaws in Flash and they (Mozilla) don't want users blaming Firefox when their systems get hacked.

Firefox only locks out Flash when there's an update OR if there's a known exploit that Adobe has not fixed. You can choose to activate it at your own risk, it's just that Mozilla know that most people are stupid and don't want Firefox taking the blame for Adobes failure to secure it's software.

  • Hi, thanks for your help.
Apparently Mozilla have blocked flash player over security problems,

If I use IE browser it works OK, I don't like IE but will use it just for games.

  • Hi
It's now stopped working in IE as well, I give up.
If I update to Windows 10 will it solve the problem?

    Answer is NO .
Basically Adobe no longer really supports flash . Thats due to Steve Jobs of Apple killing it off a few years back .
