The problem I'm having is in the last couple of days, picture thumbnails in explorer are not working, they're black rectangles instead. I've Google'd this and tried a couple things to no avail. My computer is Windows 8.1, fully updated. 1) I deleted the thumbnails file in /APPDATA/ and rebooted, to re-create it apparently…

My son dropped his Samsung S4 and has broken the LCD screen. He is going to list it as "spares or repair" on ebay and just get a replacement phone. Is it possible to wipe the phone? If he connects it currently to a laptop its expecting the phone to be "unlocked" which he cant currently do because of the broken screen? :(

I am well annoyed, just dropped my brand new Galaxy S5 only about a month old, the glass screen is smashed to bits.. Took it to a few local side street mobile shops who said you 'can' change just the glass on them, but they all say…

Inrenet Explorer changed from Google to MSN after loading Skype
Although we run Firefox for most things, somtimes it is quicker to use IE, and we have Google as the homepage on both, because we prefer it as a search engine. However, following the installation of Skype the other day, it seems that IE is now using MSN UK news (which I hate) as the homepage, and I cannot find out how to…

Nook HD+ Tablet problems
I purchased a Nook HD+ in Sainsburys for £79 which I think was a bargain. I've had it 3 months and it has started to freeze, jump from emails to Firefox to Facebook etc. My question is, should I return it for a refund (Sainsburys have no stock) or do I Root it? I'm unlikely to get another tablet with the same superb screen…

HTML email Newsletter - what to use?
Hi all, I am looking for some advice on the best program/website to use for an email newsletter. I already have my subscribers list which are members of a club, so it is not a case of it being a marketing newsletter as such, more an information about services and offers. Any advice? Thanks

Spider Solitaire
Can anyone recommend a Spider Solitaire game that is identical with the one included with Windows XP/Vista? Microsoft in their wisdom do not include the game in Windows 8, and all the ones I've tried to download are full of advertisements/useless/clunky, etc. Help will be appreciated. Thanks.

Sony Video Unlimited films to Chromecast
I have recently received a Chromecast, and wondered if anyone had any experience of playing films purchased through the Sony Video Unlimited service on it? Films from the Sony service (which can be downloaded) are in the .mnv format, which seems to be a bespoke Sony format for purchased content. This is not a standard…
