Can't open pdf - Adobe installed

Hook up TV to laptop to watch movies, iplayer etc
I'm stuck on this one. The TV has HDMI PORTS (2) but no VGA input ports. The laptop has monitor output port but no HDMI on my version. Toshiba L300/L300D. Kindle Touch + Skype
Does anybody know if you can use the web-browser functions (via wifi) to use a Kindle TOUCH to Skype. Going on holiday soon and previously used to take netbook to "keep in touch". Now have Touch and this allows me to email etc but actually Skyping would be an advantage.

Diskeeper?
Does anyone use or recommend Diskeeper? Or is it an unnecessary expense? I have a 4 year old laptop which is getting slower but still OK I have recently invested in a cooling pad and that was good. I am debating wheter or not to get a new machine or tinker with this for another year or so.
