My husband has got one. I think that might be 24" also. Seems pretty good quality to me.
He previous monitor was very expensive, can't remember the brand, but he couldn't/didn't want to spend a fortune on another monitor. His old monitor had been "lacking" colour for years, that's the best way I can describe it anyway, so he decided to replace it. He spent a long time looking at the different models and comparing quality, it seemed pretty good to us compared to the other monitors especially when you consider the price.0 -
Ive had a couple of AOC monitors and never had a single one break.0

Since we don't know the actual model, how can anyone answer the question? Which model is it?No free lunch, and no free laptop0

I bought a cheap AOC monitor - AOC - 2436Swa 23.6" Widescreen on 4 May 2010 - it cost £139.99 at the time. It's reliable enough and if you just want a big general purpose monitor for surfing and the like mine is fine and I expect whatever one you are looking at will be too.
My advice is don't expect top notch quality for that sort of money and make sure that your video card can support whatever resolution it is - I had to download updated drivers for mine at the time.
=== updated details of mine from old store reservation email ===0 -

Not at that price, will be LCD with LED backlight. The PC World description is wrong, look at CCL's. Also cheaper there.0 -

LED, whether full or edge is only a description for the backlighting technology not the display - they all use LCD to generate the picture whether the backlighting is LED or fluorescent.
True LED, i.e. the diodes actually generate the pixels in the display, is known as OLED and is used in smaller smartphone displays.
OLED is emerging as a TV/Monitor display technology but it is still exorbitantly priced.
About £3,000 plus.
