Sometimes my system hangs on the Windows Shutting down screen and I have no alternative but to hard switch off. Any ideas or suggestions welcome :j

Can anyone help please? I am trying to open a file but dont know what to open it with. It says "2 file" after its been saved. I cannot make head nor tail of it.
