How can I open this File?

Can anyone help please?

I am trying to open a file but dont know what to open it with.

It says "2 file" after its been saved.

I cannot make head nor tail of it.

I cannot go back to the sender as it is supposed to be like this as part of an on going puzzle.

Can someone advise please? In a simplistic way :)

Try opening it with notepad, that should show you if it's a text file or, alternatively, may tell you more about what type of file it is.

Dont be daft, there are people who are on higher levels. If there were a problem with the file Im sure they would have caused a stink about it!!

    Anyway.....thanks all for your input.

I've run it through a file identifier and it comes back unknown. Are there any other clues about it or do they just give you the file and that's it ?
