Screen Shots

I want to take a screen shot of a web page, but I want to be to see the whole page. Do I have to keep scrolling down and taking a screen shot? or is there a way I can capture the whole page?
Thanks in advance!

  • There's a plug in for firefox that will grab the whole thing and save as one file.. do a bit of searching and you'll find it

The best free screenshot taker I ever used was Fastone Capture.

Unfortunately for the most recent version you have to pay but there is an earlier free version still available here.

    It includes scrolling capture

Good add on, but if you take a screenshot of the whole page and paste it into Word,as an example, the text etc is so small it is hardly readable, is there a way to increase text size?

Just change the screen res until you can fit the whole screen in your monitor, then hit "printscreen". Open up Paint click edit and Paste........:D

If you do the 'CNTRL + Print Scrn' as usual and paste into Word.
When you click on the pasted item you can use the pictue edit to fit / grab / expand as required. Just pull on the corners to expand to a readable size EVEN if you have saved it as small.
We often do this at work to capture evidence of an incident (shares price feedstreams)

It does not seem to work whichever way I do it, the image here is from right clickingt his page then >fireshot - take screenshot (entire page) and...

I put it into Word and whatever I did would not increase the text size, (more than 1 A4 page!)

In Paint, I can increase it in Paint, but transferring it to here results in text being to small to read

It won't do it if the image capture is more than a full A4 sheet

Why would you use word?, that is a paper based document prep tool though u can still do it just change the paper size in "page setup".
What exactly is this for if u just want to "read it later" all browsers have an option to save the full webpage in a local folder
