Do mortgages apply to this?
Hi everyone, My mum has a mortgage with Woolwich and they always heavily fine her if she doesn't have enough money to pay her monthly mortgage. She sometimes forgets to pay in the money on time. I've heard banks of closing accounts if you claim for your money back. Can they do this to mortgage accounts? Please help. Jasmine

Two accounts, one letter?
Just sorting out the start of my husbands claim. We have a joint account and he has his own account with the same bank - can we (he) do it through just one letter asking for statements, and then money or is it best done as too separate asks?

Anyone had a court claim thrown out?
I filed a claim against Lloyds TSB, followed all the rules and used standard letters. However, when it came to the court papers, it was thrown out at the last hurdle on grounds that there was "no grounds for a claim". Lloyds TSB still coughed up, but I'm just curious! It was Peterborough Court btw.

Reclaim after warning?
Hello Last year I opened a student account with Abbey, but didn't use it as my main account. Consequently, they sent me a letter stating that if I didn't credit my account within 30 days, they'd take away my 0% interest overdraft. So me being me, I didn't get round to crediting my account, and my overdraft was removed.…

So who have we won against? Check In!
So I was bored and went through the Success Stories thread to see who had won against which bank\credit card company\store card\catalogue company and the results are in! Remember these are only indicative and doesn't mean some banks are worst than others at paying up! Also it's not 100% accurate as some posts where just…

Sample Particulars too Long for Moneyclaim
I've just submitted my claim on the moneyclaim website, and used the sample template of what to write that Martin has on this week's updated 'how to' page. I ran into a bit of difficulty - the moneyclaim site will only let you type in 1080 characters and no more than 24 lines. The text supplied in the sample letter listed…
