Clydesdale Financial Services/Barclays Partner Finance

hi all
does anyone know if you can claim unfair charges from a loan company in the same manner as a bank? these monkeys have charged me £87.50 in late payment charges in 3 months, even though i keep sending new dd setup forms to them. had enough now so want to claim it back.
cheers
steve

  • Hi Steve as far as i have read yes i think you can claim your charges back

I think you do it just the same way as you do with bank charges.

Hi, did you manage to get your charges back from Clydesdale Financial?

This is the only other company I need to claim from but want to wait for the outcome from LTSB first. How did you get on blackste?

    Hi

Ive just rang clydesdale FS for my account number as my account is now settled with them. They are sending me details out in the post.
I had hundreds of pounds of late payment charges from them. due to my paying over the phone with switch- 2 days before due date of payment and them saying that the funds didn't reach their bank in time. even though the payment was put through whilst I was on the phone. I hope someone else has had a success claiming back from these

Funnily enough, I didnt get round to sending off my letter above, but did send it today. Will update keep this thread updated. I have found Clydesdale to be really bad for adding charges, 22.50 a time!
