Hi everyone
I'm new to all this so please excuse me if I'm in the wrong area to ask about this.
Basically I am being hit every month by a charge of £22.50 from a credit company called Clydesdale Finance. Basically I took out interest free credit with them but unfortunately due to circumstances by financial postion changed and I have needed the help of CCCS for the last year. CCCS have a payment plan arranged with this finance house, they know that CCCS have one payment date each month to all my creditors yet since I have been paying them on the payment plan they are hitting me with this charge for late payment and also interest on the hire hire purchase agreement. So not only did I have interest added to the debt when they realised I could not pay off interest free but now every month they are adding interest on to the whole amount, I can live with that if that is the way they operate but these charges I find absolutely wrong when I'm on an agreed payment plan.
Has anyone else experienced this? Does anyone know if this form of finance falls into the same policies/rules as the credit card agencies?
Any advice would be very much appreciated
Thank you

Hello
Can anyone help and advise me please
I am being charged each month by Barclays Finance a late payment charge of £22.50. Can I reclaim all/some of this back in anyway?
This debt is covered on a DMP plan with CCCS and although all the other creditors have fallen in line with CCCS payment dates for some reason this creditor will not and every month I get hit for this charge.
Does anyone know if I can claim back like you can for credit card charges?
Any help would be really appreciated as I really dont know what to do for the bess.
Thank you so much in advance

Yes you can claim back the charges from them, give them a call and get them to send your statements0

HI
how can we go about this. I've had the exact same problem. They are sending me a full statement, and i've had 9 lots of £22.50 added to the account, and i'm with payplan, who handle all my payments and what day it goes out.

blimey, I must be the only person who has had no probs with clydesdale over the 4 years my account has run with them (so far that is). My account is due to be paid off in November but I have gotten a bit worried reading all these posts that I have written a letter asking for confirmation that they will not be taking any more money from my bank after that time, particularly as they are now a part of my bank!
My problem lies with computeach international, the company whose services I took the loan out for in the first place. Please be aware, any one reading this who might be considering getting involved with Computeach, if in doubt, walk away, because if you have any problems during their course, they do not want to know and they insist they have the legal right to keep your money in return for providing nothing. I have tried to get advice about this bunch of hard-sell sharks from everywhere I can think but no one is willing to take them on. A lesson learned very much the hard way.0 -
