It seems MBNA have already found a way to deter people from doing this. They are asking for a £180 charge for a copy of of the last 6 years of statements. Is this legal?

My bank account has been passed to debt collection
My bank account has been passed to debt collectors, previously i had sent a letter and they offered me 450 pounds for a 1500 debt in charges, but now its been passed for collection, can i still claim? if so do i address to debt collectors or the bank?

What about charges for setting up loans?
What about loan arrangement fees? can these be reclaimed as they are technicaly a charge that the bank as made to you and I can remember paying arrangment fees of around £100+ to arrange a car loan. I can't see how it costs a bank £100+ to set up a loan so are these charges concidered unlawfull?

Joint Account with ex partner (merged)
My bank account was previously in joint names with my ex-husband, now in my own name. Can I only reclaim charges from when it became my account or can I go back to when it was held in joint names? Thanks.

What abouth mutual societies than run bank accounts ?
Eg, places like Nationwide. They stay a mutual society, but still run regulay type bank accounts. Can penalty charges be claimed back from them as well ?

Can i claim more then once
After two months of sending several letters to Abby National recieved £750 pounds in bank charges. But in the last two months they have charged me nearly a hundred pounds more, Does anyone know if i can claim again??
