My bank account has been passed to debt collection

My bank account has been passed to debt collectors, previously i had sent a letter and they offered me 450 pounds for a 1500 debt in charges, but now its been passed for collection, can i still claim? if so do i address to debt collectors or the bank?

Comments

  • Hi you can still claim through your bank, go ahead with the process as is described on here, send everything to your bank. Inform the debt collectors the account is in dispute, as while it is in dispute they cannot take any action on collecting the outstanding sum until it has been resolved - they will probably pass it back to your bank to deal with.
Any spelling mistakes are entirely on purpose to check you're paying attention :p
