Hello to all, my first thread so please go steady.
I recently sent my first action letter to Barclays Business Acc looking to claim back £1648.00 in account control fee's and unpaid cheque charges. I also included £676.26 in interest they charged me over a four year period, should i have included that as i am now thinking the interest is legal as it is clearly given in Barclays terms and conditions? My thoughts are that i should have included the 8% compound interest charge instead which totals £492.75.
Any advice on what to include in my second letter would be gratefull.
Many Thanks
Jon

I quoted the net charges in each of the two letters to Barclays but attached the spreadsheet including 8% interest to each letter.
On the LBA I stated that unless they agreed to recompense in full then I'd start court proceedings (as per std letter) and claim the 8% interest.
They offered partial settlement (about 1/3rd) so the claim was submitted!
Incidently they acknowledged my MCOL claim on 3/11/2006 and are due to post a defence by today (SUNDAY?).
I'm looking forward to seeing what tomorrow brings.
I'm managing the claim(s) for both my kids.... when I investigated it worked out they charge me £20 once in the last 6 years so they can have that on me .. but they better pay the kids out!!!!!0
