Warning: Aircon247.com
Goods ordered from Aircon247 by phone on the 29th June. Payment taken immediately. Told goods would be delivered the next week. I didn't receive the promised email with receipt and order number, and no goods arrived. Thus began a ridiculous saga of phoning Aircon247's "expert" customer services staff, who always told me…

scam telephone call
Please be aware that a telephone scam is now going around.Twice this week they are saying my ISP provider has been compromised, and they will be disconnecting my internet. Hang up, do not do anything they say. This is in the northeast area as i believe they go from one area to another. It starts with a telephone no 02. Be…

Dvla
What is going on? The above has just supplied my details to euro car parks regarding a parking offence. The car stated I do not own and I was not in the said city that the incident took place. Not pleased.

These clocks have been in the news before. Beware: these clocks are for (most of) Europe only so run one hour fast in the UK.

DPD lazy driver
Never have I seen such a useless company as DPD. Yesterday I was due to have a mobile phone delivered. Got an email with the times etc. Luckily, MIL was going to be there so I made sure she knew the times etc. DPD van turns up - she could see out of the window. He stopped for a minute then reversed out and was gone. Didn't…

British Beauty Academy - Be Warned
Please learn from my terrible judgement!... I took a course with British Beauty Academy yesterday, for Eyelash Extensions. It was absolutely appalling. 21 students to two tutors. I asked a lot of questions, to the point I felt like a nuisance. When I asked about them teaching us about infills, I was told, 'I can't really…

Grrrr Deliveries!!
Just had a delivery driver knock on my door adamant that he left a parcel on my doorstep yesterday while we were out. About two weeks ago a parcel was left on our doorstep for a neighbour in the next lane down. We rang the number and he said he was at the airport and would send someone to collect it but it was not…

Gogroopie
I'm so frustrated with Gogroopie. I ordered 5 rolls of artificial grass back in August and received one the next day. I was a bit wary of accepting it from the Fedex delivery guy as it was not the full order but he assured me that the other rolls were all on their way. No more arrived so I contacted the merchant by email…

The "INFO#SHOP555.DE" Amazon Giftcard scam
Pardon me if this has been long since discussed, but this poster feels it's still worth refreshing, as it pains me to see that this Giftcard scam still continues folks, and really, there needs to be a sticky &/or far more general awareness raised about it. IOW, It's quite unbelievable that it still continues, and for so…

VENT: Stamps are only sticky for 30 days!!!
According to Royal Mail sticky stamps are only guaranteed to be capable of being used for 30 days from purchase!! After that you're not allowed to stick them on with sellotape.... Instead they say you must use prittstick...presumably so that the extra sticky stuff from the prittstick jams up their machines!!!!! You…

Miffed with Amazon
I’m just letting off steam really but I wondered how common this is... I ordered some goods on Amazon on Friday which were due to be delivered Saturday. I was notified on Saturday morning that my goods were on their way to me and would arrive by 9pm. About 1pm I was notified that the delivery was 8 stops away. 25 minutes…

negative review
Anyone else had this? I had repairs done at home this year under insurance as it was water damage. L&G were the insurers and told me if I used their preferred builder it would be "smoother". It wasn't, they left a mess in the house ( doing the work while I was out at work) and had to return on my request as the work was…

Best course of action/relevant consumer law?
I bought an item of clothing (Radley handbag - so not cheap) from a shop whilst on a recent visit to my home city (ie House of Fraser). I have found since that there is a fault with it. Normally, that wouldnt be a problem. I'd just take it back to the shop concerned with my receipt and say "Refund please". But, it was…

Well done Asda
I popped into my local Asda today for a few groceries. I got everything I wanted, so paid at the self service tills. I bought 3 x red peppers @ 50p each, and they scanned at 55p each. So, I finished scanning the other items, paid and then double checked the price. I went over to customer services and politely explained.…

What are my rights here if any?
Hi there, We got an ipad from Stone computers at end of January this year, only got around to getting Ipad totally setup now, as its for our autistic child, and he was using an older ipad 3. It came with a rugged case and a tempered glass screen protector, disappointed to find that glass screen protector was cracked in…

Doing the right thing?
A friend in Worthing made redundant some time ago has been unable to get another job. He's in his late 50s and grew with the company he worked for over 25 years. No real qualifications but did a damn good job in a senior position. He decided to go to the bank to convert his mortgage to interest only, budgeting redundancy…

Walkers crisps multipacks - watch out for Gary!
Maybe I missed it before but in the last week at two supermarkets (Tesco and Morrisons) I have spotted that Walkers crisps multipacks now contain 5 packets rather than 6. Seems like a rather underhand way of increasing the price by 16.66666666...%, but I suppose they have to pay Gary Lineker's advertising fees somehow.

Just a quick note - I'm sure MoneySavingExpert does not endorse door to door visits - but there are people knocking at houses in Clacton srae purporting to be from MSE
