Argos furniture discount that is not a discount.

Hello.


I was after some new furniture for my spare bedroom and while i was looking on the web i noticed that Argos had a 25% furniture discount offer for funiture over £150 total order.
2 days ago i decided to buy a bed, bedside cabinet, drawers and other items that i wanted and paid for the lot by card.
I picked today for the delivery date for some of the items and the bed and other stuff are being delivered next week.
I got an email saying part of my order will be here today but the order cost seemed wrong to me so i went to my Argos account and the furniture item is at full price. I checked the rest of the furniture items and it seems only the bed is discounted.
Done a live chat and was told that only the bed is included in the offer and not any other items in my order.


I stated that the drawes and cabinet are furniture and rep said they done a dummy order and the bed was the only item to get a discount and they said if i click the offer banner it will show what items are included but none of my bed/furniture is included in the offer when i click that link.


Have i been palmed off or is this false advertising?
here is a link and if you hover over the FURN25 it shows what is exluded and i can't see anything else that tells me/shoppers what is not excluded.

That's what i made of the banner.
No kids or Simba furniture was bought by me so to me the discount should apply to all indoor furniture apart from kids and Simba furniture.

Argos have not placed an order with Argos, i have placed an order with Argos so it's my order that i am talking about.

My problems with an Argos furniture order only *started* with the order.

Prepare for a world of pain. I have vowed to never use them again for delivery.

Did you not notice the total cost was wrong before you completed checkout?

Are you sure it's £150 total order ?

The website is unclear, but I saw a TV advert for the offer last night and it seemed to suggest that the discount was for individual items over £150

I ordered other non furniture items at the same time/order and paid 1 total by credit card.


The discount was shown for total discount on the payment page but it was not broken down for each item and i only noticed when i got an email saying part of the order will be delivered on Friday and 1 item of bedroom furniture was included in that delivery that the discount was not applied.

I saw that advert also.


Last night i did a dummy order as you have to be logged in i think to get to the payment page and put in the FURN25 code to get the discount.
My dummy order was £29 for bedside cabinet and £125 for a chest of drawers and 1 day delivery and the 25% discount was applied to both items and these items were not in the discount items if you click the FURN25 and it takes you to "what is included in the offer" as i was told by the Argos chat rep as she said the 2 furniture items i ordered were not in the offer but the bed was.


When i checked Friday afternoon after she told me this none of my items were in this offer but i did get the 25% off the bed so somewhere along the way this "offer" is working for some ant for others.


I went to Argos facebook site and there were a few posts on there saying the same as me that did not have the discount applied to the order.
