Never have I seen such a useless company as DPD.
Yesterday I was due to have a mobile phone delivered. Got an email with the times etc. Luckily, MIL was going to be there so I made sure she knew the times etc.
DPD van turns up - she could see out of the window. He stopped for a minute then reversed out and was gone. Didn't knock the door or leave a card.
I get an email with a photo - looks suspiciously like its taken from the cab of the van.
No cars on the driveway - very much suspect driver has thought no-one home I can save some time here.
Worse thing is I can't get any sense out of anyone know. They tried to redeliver today but theres no there today.
Now they expect me to collect from local Currys which is going to mean I've got to spend an hour of my time going to collect it. All because the lazy !!!! driver couldnt be bothered.
Affordable mobiles (the company I bought off) haven;t been much better. Complained to them and all I got was "thanks for letting us know".
Hang on guys - you've paid for a service with DPD and they've screwed it up - sort them out.

Did AM charge you for delivery? If yes then I'd be reclaiming that cost from them, and/or the costs in fuel etc. in having to go collect it yourself.0

In my experience DPD are one of the better couriers. Far better than e.g. Yodel & Hermes."A nation's greatness is measured by how it treats its weakest members." ~ Mahatma Gandhi
;74903654]No but I guess its all factored in to their prices.
I don't understand why any company would use DPD. They are universally awful.
Because they're generally not. Just because you got a "bad apple" as such doesn't mean they're a bad company. I've never had an issue with DPD and in my experience they are so much better than any other couriers I've had.0 -

What? You said they were universally awful?0 -
Hi. I agree that DPD are shocking. I ordered a vertical blind headrail from eBay and it came nearly snapped in half. A picture for my living room from Brandalley torn and couldn't be hung. Pictures I sent to DPD were completely ignored. I can't go DPD. Whereas Hermes andf Yodel, never had a problem. I guess it must depend on which depot you are local to and I can say that mine at Cambuslang is nothing short of awful. They need to be bought over as my 2 experiences in the last 4 weeks aint good.0

I would always pay extra to have DPD deliver. Always ontime and amazing service.0
