Gobsh1tes on Public Transport
I had a Victor Meldrew moment yesterday. On a 30 minute bus journey when a young(ish) lady decided to ring Paypal with a non delivery report regarding some shoes. She then proceeded to tell the woman in front all about the call. Now she was gobbing on at about 104 decibels for the entire ride, so loud in fact that all…

Refils are a con!!!!
I have usually bought refills instead of original packs as I thought they would be better value. BUT they are not! Horlicks for example looks cheaper but only has 400gms instead of 500gms in the standard pot. So the price per gm is dearer!

Hastings car insurance, How much???
DD is dropping us at the airport tomorrow so wanted to see how much extra to put her on our insurance. She has a responsible job, clean license for over 20 years and no accidents, £79 extra! It is cheaper to hire a car with insurance than that! Guess we won't be renewing with them.

Undelivered goods rant
I've ordered and paid for a large outdoor pen for my cats, it's been made and was handed over to the courier last week. They gave me a call last week to say they couldn't deliver until Thursday ( yesterday ) or today and they would phone an hour before delivery. I chose yesterday, but guess what ? Surprise surprise, no…

Need advice with the Police and there misconduct
Hi all, Sorry if this is in the wrong place. Was not sure where to put this? Last week whilst in work i had a police officer come visit me. I was very surprised so clocked out of work and met him in the reception area. He told me that he was here to "Collect the Rug Doctor" - We borrowed a rug doctor (Capet Cleaner) last…

Warning - SOFASWORLD/WORLDSTORES - TERRIBLE PRODUCTS & SERVICE
Although I'm not someone that usually posts of forums I do come on this site regularly and benefit from the tips and advice, but on this occasion I am so FURIOUS and want so much to warn others about this / these companies that I felt compelled to register, and write.:mad::mad::mad: I recently purchased a ZARA…

Call Centre calls...VENT!
I swear since this new BBC Three show 'The Call Centre" started airing and people have watched it and found it entertaining and funny (apparently) all call centres everywhere have decided to try their luck and see if their popularity has increased at all. The amount of calls I am getting at home and at work has…

Don't look up?
When choosing to eat out it pays not to look up!! I often wonder if caf!,restaurant or take-away owners ever stand outside their premises and take a good look at the outside? Normal now to see filthy undrawn curtains in the rooms above, dirty frontages or piles of rubbish in side alleys and doorway. I did try to get our…

Endless stress with the mechanic who lives opposite!
I live in a six-flat building, on the ground floor. There are four off-road parking spaces in front of the building, which should work out fine as only three of the flat owners have cars. However, there's a auto repair shop opposite us. The man who runs it also lives in the house opposite; the business is off-road, behind…

Grave Robbery (literally!)
Hi, I just wanted to raise the issue of "Non-Resident" Burial/Cremation costs which is one of the latest (if rather sick) methods that cash-strapped councils are using to raise revenue. Essentially, my father died in April at the age of 69 years. He was born and lived in the North East of England until the age of 60, but…

Lots of phone calls
I do not have debts. I am not applying for a loan or have a PPI claim. So why am I pestered everyday by these people who are trying to help me out? Getting beyond a joke now. I keep asking for them to delete my details and that is not always happening. Today I think 5 calls in all. Anyone please help me out with a…

Vent: Jean Patrique - in general but specifically ignoring Unsubscribe requests
Having been a complete idiot in the past and actually buying some of this pond-life's utter crap product (and fighting a lengthy battle over returns & refunds) my latest moan is getting myself taken off their email list. I have used the UNSUBSCRIBE option several times over in the past AND phoned them AND written to them…

Wowcher RIP OFF!
Ive always been skeptical about "deals" through groupon, wowcher etc, but sometimes there are some good ones to be had, We are off to Florida in November and are needing car hire so when i saw the Wowcher deal for a car hire voucher for £38 worth £120, i figured that even if they hiked the price up a little, it would…

Kgb deals PRAISE!
So we booked a deal for B&B and the trader has now ceased trading. Contacted Kdg and explained, they quickly refunded the total amount paid. Very pleased as I have heard of people having problems with this sort of thing.

Vent - Utter Brainlessness
Looking at this you have to wonder if our schools are being run by complete idiots. It's important that children are properly fed and it's also important not to subject them to unnecessarily humiliating situations. A little bit of intelligence applied to the system used here would have prevented this ever happening. And as…

Vent- Tesco Opticians
I've just been into Tesco opticians to get some contact lenses. It's been my first pair in about five years, so they were happy to give me some trial lenses for a week. Anyway, the optician was checking my details, noticed my eye test was only last year, and asked if the lenses I'd had were to help my astigmatism.…

The Great Meal Deal Swindle
Has anyone else noticed how sandwich shops are reducing the value we get with "meal deals" by removing items? This seems in a similar fashion to the reduced pack sizes we see in supermarkets, sold at the same price and marketed as "better value" of course. Previously I could get a proper meal deal from Greggs, consisting…
