Barclays - Be careful

This is the first time i went overdraft without realising, now Barclays sent a letter to charge £22 every five days and send a letter in 14th day since they started charge.
Is there anyway can i avoid this £22 charge, i put some money today.
I am happy to close my account with this spiral money taker.
Thanks

They may refund you the charge as it is the first time you have been overdrawn, and assuming your account is now back in credit. However, I would not be blaming them for your mistake - it is your responsibility to ensure you are not overdrawn.0

Hope this doesn't sound too harsh, but I think you'll findall banks charge in some way if you try to borrow money without agreeing it first...0

They dont actually charged you every 5 days.
They charge you for each transaction over your overdraft, but they will only charge you once every 5 days.
so if you draw money out one day, you wll get the £22 charge, then if you do it the next day, they wont charge you again. But if you do it again in 5 days, then you get another £22 charge
some banks will charge you each and every time you go over0 -

You could write a nice letter to them explaining that you've been a customer with them for x years, it's the first time you've ever been overdrawn and you've since put funds back in so would they consider - as a goodwill gesture - waiving the charge.
But - you did break the rules.
Maybe you should consider getting an authorised overdraft so you don't get caught out again.
I'm curious - why do you refer to them as "spiral money takers"?0
