VENT: Barclaycard.
My daughter received a Barclaycard today with £2500 credit. She has £7 weekly pocket money plus birthday and Christmas money. She has not asked for this card. There is no way she could repay £2500. Barclaycard will be getting a tounge lashing from me in the morning.

Grumble against Waltham Forest council re. space for refuse bins
I live in a typical early 20th century terraced house with very limited space at the front. I have to keep 3 bins there for normal waste, recycling materials and garden/kitchen waste. This week I have had quite a bullying style letter from the council which says that I will either be fined £60 or prosecuted if I leave any…

T-mobile live chat
AARRRGGHHHHH!! What is the point of these people who work on their live chat? I have a problem with an order. They can't access my details, they don't have that facility, they can't pass my problem on to customer services. They don't know why no one has replied to my email, but they can't access emails. They can't help me…

Realiam / Scatty Squirrel - Has anyone bought anything from them?
Has anyone out there in MSE Land used a website called Scatty Squirrel run by a company called Realiam Ltd based in Henley On Thames? My sis ordered some furniture back in February and despite a few emails with updates, now can't get any response from the company. With hindsight she knows she was foolish to buy from this…

Rant: Very
I accidentally placed an order the other day with Very (whilst messing around with discount codes to see what the best deal I could get would be). My mistake, I know, but I thought - hey, I could just call them and ask them to cancel my order. I called up, and after battling with their ridiculous automated system, finally…

No discount for 18 + student bus fares!
Why do some bus companies only accept that students are 18 and under!! My daughter is doing a two year course and has turned 19 today, consequently she will not longer receive any kind of student discount! That means we/she has to find an extra £40+ per term for the same journey, to the same course at college. It's…

What would happen if we left our uncollected bins in city hall?
We have in the past been advised by our council we can mark black bins as non-recycling & leave them next to the bin to be taken with it. However our bin men seem to be jobsworths and left 4 bags on the street rather than throwing them in the wagon.... we surrounded the bin with the bags and they moved them to get to the…

Wavepad mattress / Leeds / cold calls - scams
Just had a call (despite being registered with the TPS), with the same Wavepad mattress script as has been used before (there's a YouTube video dated 13 April). The caller said he was from Leeds but withheld the number. Obviously, I have no idea if there is any connection with Easynights etc:…

Hi, I am a user of the top cash back site (TCB) and have saved nearly £400 in cash back. However, last month I was checking a price out on TCB and noticed an advert on the side for a "free trial" of some beauty treatments and diet pills. My wife has been struggling to lose weight and enjoys using night creams etc. As the…

Civil Legal Advice 'helpline'
I called the government's 'Civil Legal Advice helpline', regarding suing my decorator. I simply wanted basic legal advice regarding our court appearance in 2 weeks time. Instead I was given the number of the Law Society - a society which is for solicitors, not the public! I called CLA back & got a tonne of attitude from…

I sent a Recorded Delivery letter by Royal Mail on the 14th December 2012, I used Recorded Delivery because I was in dispute with the organisation and wanted to make sure they couldn’t say they didn’t receive my letter. I received no reply to my letter so I therefore asked Royal Mail for written confirmation they had…
