I accidentally placed an order the other day with Very (whilst messing around with discount codes to see what the best deal I could get would be). My mistake, I know, but I thought - hey, I could just call them and ask them to cancel my order. I called up, and after battling with their ridiculous automated system, finally got to talk to an advisor. I asked for him to cancel it - after about 10 minutes of "ummmmmm", he finally told me to just email customer support. Upon emailing, I was sent emails saying "this enquiry has been forwarded to ____" about 6 or 7 times over the last three days.
Meanwhile, Yodel have emailed me telling me they've already delivered my parcel! However, even more annoyingly, they've delivered it to a depot at my billing address, not my delivery address. Considering I am at uni at the moment and there's nobody at home, that's entirely useless to me! I don't know whether I can just not pick it up and it will get refunded to me, but I'm getting absolutely nowhere with customer services

Undergrad law student. Take my advice with a pinch of salt! :rotfl:

I would assume if it’s not collected from the depot after a certain length of time it will be returned to the sender, who on receipt would automatically issue a refund.
So you could sit back, relax and let time takes its course.
Speed things up and phone the depot and tell them to return the item to the sender as you won’t be collecting it.
Check with Very that they’ll issue a refund once they receive the item back.0 -
