Vistaprint - where a deal is not a deal
Having used Vistaprint before I regularly (most days!) get a 'special offer for you only limited time order now' email. So what am I moaning about then I hear you ask. Here's what I did. I added my usual 1500 price lists to my basket after entering the website from the link on my latest special deal email from vistaprint…

Mango Clothes shop
Went to Mango womans clothes shop in Leicester to buy my wife a cardigan. It cost £44.90 but when I got it home and peeled the price tag off I saw that it was also priced at 39 euros. Now this translates to about £31 so Mango are also ripping off UK shoppers for about 50% more than european shoppers.

National Accident Helpline
I don;t know if anyone else has had any similar experiences to me? I keep getting phone calls (maybbe up to 10 calls) over the last 2 months or so from someone purporting to represent National Accident Helpline. These calls are extremely annoying. I am not an ambulance chaser and do not wish to claim compensation against…

Searson Family Funerals of Portsmouth
We sadly lost our Dad a couple of weeks ago, and after having been treated with total disregard by the local Co op funeral directors my sister in law moved him to the Searson Family firm of funeral directors. So after a week of being told we wouldn't be able to see him if we travelled from London (and another Brother being…

Asda home shopping - holding money
Hi all, I normally shop online at Asda and the same thing keeps on happening again. I place an order which comes to let's say £60. In the order there are some things that come by weight or some that are unavailable at the time of delivery so when the order arrivas the amount due to pay is slightly different to the amount…

Just a warning to make sure your wills are up to date not only for the obvious bits but also for the executors. My father died a few months back and his will dates to more than 30 years ago and one of the executors was a work colleague who moved away shortly after agreeing to be an executor.i have no idea how old the…

Talk Talk don't want to Talk.
I called Talk Talk in November for information about their services in my area and during the call it became apparent Talk Talk wasn't for me, I've just seen on my credit report that they did 2 credit checks on the same day. I didn't give them permission to do a search nor was I advised that they wanted to do a search.…

AAARRRGH at the NCT
I'm sure this feeling of anger will pass but right now I am not a happy bunny! My husband and I did not enrol on our local NHS antenatal classes because they start at 6pm and he doesn't finish work 20 miles away until then. As he is my birth partner we both feel it is important that he attend the classes as well, so he…

Bellini Perfect 3 razors, Lidl.
Seemingly manufactured from the recycled roofing of Albanian tin shacks, Lidl's "high precision 3-blade razor system from PERFECT 3 gives you the ultimate shaving experience" (says the packaging blurb.) It does indeed. Nothing could be ultimately worse than attempting to shave with this junk -- surprising though, the way…

Dyson repair praise
We're all quick enough to complain, so here's some praise for a very speedy and free repair on my three+ year old Dyson vac. As simple as one phone call to Dyson centre, wait over the weekend and cheerful engineer turns up as promised Monday am. Correct parts, quick job, no cost. Service!

"CE" or "CCC" approved products?
Is it so difficult to buy everyday products in the UK which are fit for purpose? My latest problem - a shopping trolley wheel fell off after less than a mile use from new. Spent an hour or more repairing it (bodge actually as a proper repair was not practicable) and expect to bin it if it fails again. Over the last few…

Thomson holidays price changing
I'm not booking my potential holiday yet, but I'm keeping an eye on Thomson's late deals. What thoroughly annoys me is how the price changes from page to page on some holidays! e.g. on this list, the second one down (Royal Kostas, currently showing as £186) - click on it, and BAM! - instant price hike of nearly £10 to…
