i have been with o2 for 4 years but billing was done by carphone warehouse, on april 5th carphone warehouse phoned to say o2 were not renewing their contract for doing their billing and i would have to be moved onto o2's direct billing.
the next day i asked about upgrading as i knew i was due an upgrade soon and they said it was fine but all the hansets i wanted were more expensive with o2 and having had the same number for 4 yrs i was reluctant to change numbers so the advisor said if i decided to go to another company she could send me the pac number so i agreed and she said i would recieve it within 24 hrs.
having signed up to a new contract with another company i was surprised not to recieve the Pac code so phoned o2 again i spent the next 45 mins - an hour being transferred from o2 advisor to carphone advisor with nobody knowing where the Pac code was in the end i was told i would have to wait untill nearer the end of the month until they could release a new Pac code.
I then paid my phone bill to carphone on the 19th to then discover 2 days later a full months line rental go from my account to o2 without recieving any form of bill when i phoned them about this they said that since i moved from carphone my account was a new contract with o2, i was never informed of this or agreed to it being a new contract so needless to say i was very angry and sent a complaint email to o2 who did not seem interested.
i also never registered online so i was surprised to find my account registered and had never recieved a username or password and spent ages on live chats trying to retrieve this information from them so that i could view my account.
I have finally recieved a pac code which disconnected my o2 account without having used a whole months line rental but still recieved a further bill asking for £5.82 even though they were owe me a refund.
several emails and live chats to o2 who still don't give a damn i recieve a £5.00 good will credit to my account.
my advice to anyone avoid o2 at all costs!!!!
