Bananas at Tesco Express (rip-off)!
I went into Tesco Express for a bottle of water on the way home today and thought I'd save myself some time by getting milk and bananas while I was at it. Normally I would have gone to Waitrose or Somerfield on a Sunday morning. Anyway, I chose 4 smallish bananas (I'm never hungry enough for a large one) and when I paid I…

Tesco petrol station wouldn't accept my credit card
I had a hilarious experience at the Tesco petrol station this afternoon. It really brightened up my day, and I've got to share it with you all. After filling up the car, I went into the kiosk to pay. The cashier tried, unsuccessfully, to charge my Mastercard several times, and said it was not accepting payment. Apparently…

Phones 4 U + 18mth contracts
If someone is trying to sell you a 18mth deal on the basis that they will 'buy you out' after 12 months then do not go for it as we have no way of honouring that commitment after 12 months. It would cost £120 cash to do so and no store will do that much on a sale.

Dodgy shop on Oxford Street selling £20 iPods
I was walking down Oxford Street (London) this afternoon and there's a very dodgy looking shop set up on the south side, east of Oxford Circus tube station, just before you get to Berwick Street. Looks like they've taken over the premises temporarily (maybe only for a few days), and on the shop windows they are advertising…

Incompatible PC component
This week I bought a tv tuner card from CCL (https://www.cclonline.com) for my Dell PC but found out when I put it in the PC that Windows would no longer load. I contacted the card manufacturer and was told that this was a known incompatibility with their card with Dell PCs and that although they are working on a fix they…

Dodgy builder
If this is on the wrong board - please move it to somewhere you feel is better suited and apologies in advance ! We are currently in dispute with our builder. He has carried out several jobs in our house and we thought we had a builder we could trust as he was always punctual and the work seemed fine - we had a good…

Curse-ed British Gas
How bad is this: I've been trying for two months to get British Gas to change my tariff from the discounted electricity tariff to the CHEAPER click energy tariff. I've made 7 phone calls, sent 2 emails and have been promised a call-back from a manager 3 times - only one of which transpired. Each time I am promised that the…

Carphonewarehouse / Citylink
I ordered a phone from CPW as I am a bit wary of some of the other ones online retailers and their cashback. Phone was to be delivered on Thursday and when it didn't I called CPW who initially tried to tell me it had been delivered to a neighbour. Turned out it was an error and told me to phone carriers Citylink. I phoned…

Tesco Sweets
Hi I bought a pack of Tesco 40p tooth and lips sweets yesterday. I was eating them today when one of the sweets had a big bit of tree bark attached to it! Now if it had been a small child eating the sweets (thats the age group that would normally buy them :P) they could easily have choked. I'm going to write and complain…

Snapfish free prints - or should that be crapfish?!
Anyone else had trouble with Snapfish? I took up their introductory offer of 20 prints free, and used the option to collect the prints at my local Jessops, which meant no charge for p&p. I received an e-mail saying my prints were expected to be ready by 3.00 pm on 30 August; I would be sent an e-mail confirming when they…

Asda Internet Flowers / Superflora UK Ltd
Appalling service from Superflora acting as agents for Asda online - these people are an absolute shower. Flowers ordered for new baby not delivered to hospital 70 miles away Friday 1st reckon they can't even investigate it till Monday. Asda Customer Service got no joy from them - they've sent me a £20 voucher and will…

CDWow
Just a little rant. Pre-ordered a PC game from them last month and it arrived today. Hugely disapointed to find out that it is a Asian version of the game I wanted which says on it that it is illegal to sell it in North America and Europe! I am hoping that they will send me a correct UK/European version of this game. I…

Tesco Carrier Bag Policy
OK, so this company are giving themselves a huge Green pat on the back and saving themselves a flipping fortune at the same time by encouraging us not to use their carrier bags. The 1p value of the clubcard point they reward you with for not using their carrier is not going to outweigh the savings for having to manfacture…
