Asda Internet Flowers / Superflora UK Ltd

Options
Appalling service from Superflora acting as agents for Asda online - these people are an absolute shower.

Flowers ordered for new baby not delivered to hospital 70 miles away Friday 1st reckon they can't even investigate it till Monday. Asda Customer Service got no joy from them - they've sent me a £20 voucher and will raise the issue. Have now Saturday morning had to order stuff from Interflora for same day delivery at double the cost. Look out Mr Superflora the online small claims court action will be heading your way

  • but personally I think you're being a tad impatient.

Yes I can appreciate that it is annoying not for the delivery to have been made when you wanted it to but you've already been given compensation of sorts and they have promised to look into it on Monday - the next possible working day.

Give them a chance to rectify the situation - you are likely to either have the flowers for free or another bunch delivered so I can't understand why you are threatening the small claims court at this stage.

You must be a right sucker - I wouldn't give people like this a break its mugs like you who encourage their sloppy attitudes to customers. Rogue traders must rub their hands together when they see you coming

I first phoned them at 7.30pm Friday was promised an investigation and call back in 2 hours, it never happened - I repeated the call at 8.30am today again promised a call back in two hours and at this time I threatened them with small claims if they didn't arrange a same day delivery today. This is after checking with my bank and finding the money was taken on Thursday. 150 minutes later no return call and when I phoned was told nothing doing till Monday. I then reported this to Asda who contacted them and were given the same story. ASDA chucked me the £20 as a goodwill gesture going towards the more than double price that I've paid to Interflora for same day delivery.

Giving flowers on an exact day is often for an occasion be it birth, get well, anniversary , death etc so it is a time sensitive purchase - this is the business these people are in and they have failed miserably. You should realise that nowadays new Mothers are often discharged within 12 - 24 hours - in this case my dear friend is still in there because the poor little boy is in the ICU

I dont think that thats a nice way to be is it!

I would have to agree with mountain of debt - okay there has been a mess up and Asda have given you some compo but its the weekend - not all florists or customer centres are open over the weekend so Monday is the next working day.

I too dont see why you are threatening the small claims court so early on if at all

Well I live by the code of never give a sucker an even break.

Just think about what I said regarding this business of FLOWER DELIVERY -SPECIAL OCCASION and TIME SENSITIVE a delivery on Monday is as useful as a ham sandwich at a Jewish Wedding

I can understand that the flowers are time sensitive and were meant to be there for the other day but I do think that threatening small claims at this time will get you nowhere. Give them chance to explain and see if they will redeliver the flowers to your friend at home and free of charge

The way I view it was they had their chances last night and this morning - they could have offered as I suggested to them to pay for same day delivery today but refused. That would have rectified matters as far as I'm concerned it is now going to cost them a lot more money and time. I speak from the experience of taking small claims action against Homebase and finally putting the bailiffs in to get £475 for a £100 kids bed problem

Have to agree with Stamford, this was not a CD he ordered delivered late, this was a flower gift to a new mother. Sorry, but I don't think flowers a few days late are acceptable. If I order flowers to be delivered to my mum on her birthday , i expect them on her birthday. If i order flowers for my friend in hospital I expect them to be delivered to the hospital on the day specified not late and have it look like an afterthought.

Think I must have hit a nerve here, from the tone of your reply.

I don't like poor service either but I do like to give organisations a reasonable chance to put things right before threatening people with legal action which I still think is over the top in this case.
