seems tesco are getting a bit of a bashing on here recently.
mr mob, for some unknown reason, came home with a tesco internet mobile last week.
its crap.
in the week we have had it mr mob has had to call the helpline at least once of an evening.
you need your speakers on to hear the damn thing ring.
most nights we cannot connect to the network. however if mr mob uninstalls and then reinstalls the software it suddenly works.
he explained this to the thick as pigs do-do 'helpline assistant' who suggested we do this every time!!! :rotfl:
thats not what we wish to do and not what we should have to do.
they have tried blaming it on our internet connection (10 meg broadband) and our internet security (zone alarm which shows tesco internet as an allowed program).
has/is anyone else having problems with this?

Generous lot aren't they. You should invoice them for your time and when payment time comes tell them that you are having technical difficulties and keep them on hold for 2o mins.Wildly my mind beats against you, yet the soul obeys. :heartpuls

I bought a brace of these recently as I work away from home a lot. I used them from my hotel in Ipswich to home in Zumerzet all last week with no major problems.
I agree they are not brilliant sound quality but Mrs Fruitcake and I could hear each other OK. Installation on home pc and laptop were trouble free. The main problem I have found with them is the ringer is so quiet even on maximum that you can only hear it if you are in the same room. In addition I haven't worked out how to disable the sound when playing media files, as the music comes out the handset instead of the pc speakers. Consequently the kids keep unplugging it and then I can't get through when I ring home.
I haven't tried ringing any other numbers as I only bought it to keep in touch whilst away from home. All being well they will have paid for themselves by the end of this month.
