Discover Discount rip off
 Having just had an almighty argument with my wife regarding a CC I transferred back last August and finding that there had been activity on the card. Anyway, it has transpired that a company called Discover Discount had taken £89.95 off her card for no apparent reason whatsoever, other than she thinks she may have…

Fedup with Saga Mailings!!!
I have made repeated requests to SAGA to stop mailing me. In the last week they have sent me info on pet insurance and medical insurance. When I ring them they confirm that there has been a stp on all mailings since June 2004 on the customer number quoted on the letters I receive - so why do they keep on sending them then?…

DON'T use NTL!!!!
Hi, Sorry If I'm telling people what they already know but just felt I had to tell people about this – I’ve been stung by NTL. In December I signed up for the 3 for 1 deal (phone, B’Band & TV), £30/month, was told it was a 12 month contract, and that 1 months notice was required for cancellation. (Previously I was with…

Arrrgh OneTel/1899 Somebody crashed my phone/internet service!
I signed up for OneTel and 1899 17th March due to reading the posts on here. OneTel say my service would be activated on 06/04/05. Great I thought. How wrong I was. First, on 25th March my answerphone stopped working as calls were re-routed to a voicemail from one of these providers. Except the voicemail didn't work and…

Awful hotel
My husband spent a lot of money treating me to a surprise weekend away. We took our baby with us, so my husband was looking to get a nice room as we would be spending more time in it in the evenings as we would need to put our son to bed. He spent £115 per night on this hotel room, which for us is a huge sum of money,…

I need to get this off my chest before I write to the Managing Director of Citroen cars. I have recently purchased my second Picasso, brand new. Only got it beginning of March. Previously I had a Picasso, like them for the space they offer and they are a good price. In Feb, I was out and about, and had to park in a…

Southern Electric con man
I'm sure most people here are pretty savvy, and I'd like to consider myself one of them. That's why when there was a knock at the door and a guy telling me (eventually) "I'd been left on the old, more expensive tarriff" I was wise to him. I answered the door to be greeted by this guy and his clipboard (so it must be…

There is a guy (or there may be more than one) going round the country , accosting people in car-parks trying to sell them leather jackets. Be wary when buying charity wristbands
Just seen an article in Grazia magazine, 11 April issue, regarding charity wristbands. Apparently a lot of people collect them. There was a shipment of 6,000 fake Livestrong wristbands intercepted by customs at Glasgow Airport on a plane from China. Any money from the fakes would be used to fund criminal activities etc etc…
