Arrrgh OneTel/1899 Somebody crashed my phone/internet service!

I signed up for OneTel and 1899 17th March due to reading the posts on here. OneTel say my service would be activated on 06/04/05. Great I thought. How wrong I was.
First, on 25th March my answerphone stopped working as calls were re-routed to a voicemail from one of these providers. Except the voicemail didn't work and kept saying you have dialled an incorrect number even though it rang 8 times first.
Then, same day, my internet wouldn't work. It couldn't find a dial tone even though the phone was working fine.
So I called OneTel and cancelled thinking that would solve the problem. A week later I still have the voicemail problem. Call OneTel to ask why I still have a voicemail service and they tell me that it wasn't cancelled. So I cancel again. Then I get told a few days later, when I call to ask why the voicemail's still on there it hasn't been cancelled and why do I want to cancel.By this time I'm really starting to hate indian call centres. So I cancel again.
I also call BT and tell them to route my calls through BT instead of the cps on my line. Bt,in their infinite wisdom, cancel everything on my line. Including my broadband. I call AOL and they tell me I can either pay the remaining 5 months of my contract and go elsewhere or take out a new 12 month contract.
I whinge, moan and generally be a pain and they finally agree to just carry on with my account and ignore the gap. They even put me on dial-up whilst i'm waiting for broadband to be set up again. Thank you AOL, I now, for the first time since taking out my contract, think you're kinda great.
And yesterday I finally got that stupid voicemail off my line. Woooohoooo. However OneTel say the service wasn't ever activated or made a call through them so I must be mistaken.Even BT said my calls were being re-routed through a cps. I know it's nothing to do with 1899 as I got an e-mail asking why I haven't used them yet. I'm so confused! What the hell has happened?
