Cards for all occassions Mail order, pain in the Bottom !

HI y`all !!

Has any one else had dealings with this company?

They initially sent me some cards through the post. I decided to keep them. At £8.49 a month for 12 cards, (birthday etc) I initially thought it was a good idea and price.

After 5 months of having cards sent to me and buying them, I had to many cards to know what to do with, so I sent them a letter asking to cancel my account. This was done in September 2004.

But STILL, they continued to send me cards. I collected them all up and posted them back to the company at MY expense.

I have since been sent letters demanding money that I `owe` them for the cards that I`ve sent back.

I was again sent cards from nov until February, again I saved them up, but this time emailed them asking for a freepost address to post them back too, which they supplied.

They are now demanding the payment from the cards I sent back from september to November, which they say they haven`t recieved.

I had obtained a proof of postage, but i`ve put it in a `safe place` and can`t find it !!

Should I just pay the money to put an end to it, or battle this one out.

Help !!

Liz x

Write to them once more and say that as you had not reqested the cards the onue was on them to collect them.

However as a guesture of goodwill you had sent them back at your expense and unfortunately you have mislaid the proof of posting.

This may work and they may decide to cancel the debt - however if they do persue the matter I don' think you will have much opinion other than to pay up unfortunately

I too took advantage of the free offer and cancelled. No probs. Would never pay that amount a month for cards. They're 65p each in my local shop!!
