Is there any way I can avoid charges on other peoples 1571. As you know it costs every time you get the thing, unless you're on a package (I'm on weekend and evenings only) So now when I call in the daytime I pay for a connection 10-20p and no conversation! Grr John. Templecombe

Hi I am on the look out for a middle of the road ie good value but reliable package that covers all landline calls and is not too expensive for mobile that includes rental. Do BT offer the facility to stop the message that offers Ring Back when someone is engaged? I am sure they used to but after trying to navigate their impossible menu system and ending up four times in robotic dead ends the normal droids in Customer Services say "No".
