BT Ring Back

Do BT offer the facility to stop the message that offers Ring Back when someone is engaged? I am sure they used to but after trying to navigate their impossible menu system and ending up four times in robotic dead ends the normal droids in Customer Services say "No".

Sounds like you're thinking about the 'Press 5' Ringback Calling Feature - see Page 3 HERE.Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.0

Its called "prompted ringback removal" and it is still available but its not a well known about feature so when you call BT dont be suprised if they have no idea.
It was used only for cable customers porting numbers to BT as ring back feature is an incompatible product with some cable numbers but can be added to any line
