Stressful to get confirmation letter from BT

Just renewed our contract with BT (phone & broadband) on 3-Oct and they promised a confirmation letter would be sent to us.... after chasing up 6 times,, still no sign of it... contacted them on 11-Nov again,,they promised to contact me the following day,, but never did!
Phoned BT again tonight and was told the Customer Serivce Dept can not issue us a written confirmation... they so call sent me an email confirmation but that email have no account details, bascially, just an email that anybody can make up. Then, they said 'they call me back' as an open request, and it takes 24-48 hrs to get back to us,, so they suggested me to wait for them to call back.... now,,,49 hours gone,,, still no phone calls from them!!
The whole issue is getting me very stressed!!:mad: All I want is just a letter confirmation of our new contract!!
Can anybody give us any advise?

Why do you need confirmation with your account number? The email gives you an order number which you should be able to track through your account online.0

Because they argued with us that we were holding a 18months contract when we renewed this one in October,,, even though I actually was holding a written confirmation from them dated September 2008 when I was on the phone!!
Also, the email I received tonight,,, there were neither account number nor order number,,, only said " Just to confirm...." ,,, and the girl who sent me that email,,, even didn't undersign it either!0 -

I am sorry to hear that you did not receive a confirmation letter for your new contract and for any problems chasing this up. Can you send me your account details to btcare@bt.com and will look into this matter for you. Could you also include your forum username in subject field of the email.
