Fistral Beach - day ticket confusion.
So earlier this year I received a letter from smart parking saying I had not paid for a stay at Fistral beach. I had entered the car park 04/09/2016 and purchased a day ticket from the ticket machine. Unfortunately I wasn't the one who purchased this and as a result, the rules on the sign weren't read by myself and were…

Speeding ticket issued incorrectly
Hi, I received notice of intended prosecution for speeding now I know this definitely wasn't my car as I was in work at the time the offence took place and I'm the only person who has access to the car. I was wondering if this was some sort of scam letter and if there's anyway to tell if it's genuine. If it is genuine…

UKPC parking fine
I live in Northern Ireland. In September this year my husband received a parking fine from UKPC for parking in a disabled bay "without clearly displaying a valid disabled person's badge". This was in a shopping development. He was not driving the car. The reason for parking in a disabled space was, because he was on…

Be aware. The few remaining councils that use a parking order to create a cash cow
Rother District Council (in East Sussex) is one of the few authorities that rely on off-street parking orders to control their car parks. This means should you get a PCN (they call it a standard charge) they treat it as a a private car park for processing. However they do not belong to any of the 'Trade' bodies so the only…

Second MET parking charge notice
Hi, I have received my first PCN and have appealled to both MET and POPLA and my status is currently under appeal at POPLA. However I have received a second notice to pay the full £100. Surely as I am currently under the appeal process they cannot send these letters out. Is there some way I can use this in my favour? Thanks

Parking and Blue Badges in disabled bays.
yesterday found a a disabled bay to park in that i used last Saturday too, I took this picture as the comment about blue badges being invalid. Slightly confused, as it was a disabled bay clearly marked, i thought that as long as you have a blue badge you can park in any designated disabled bay, am i wrong?
