Speeding ticket issued incorrectly

Options
Hi,

I received notice of intended prosecution for speeding now I know this definitely wasn't my car as I was in work at the time the offence took place and I'm the only person who has access to the car. I was wondering if this was some sort of scam letter and if there's anyway to tell if it's genuine. If it is genuine could anybody give me any advice on the best way to resolve this. Thank you in advance

You would be better posting this on pepipoo.com as they are the council and police motoring experts whereas we specialise in private parking tickets here.

Read the FAQs then post you question and redacted speeding ticket on pepipoo.

  • Phone the relevant Camera Partnership and check. If you don't trust the phone number on the NIP, look it up. Chances are it's a number plate misread, especially if the event was nowhere near where you normally drive. If you suspect that's the case, ask them to review the photos.

At this point, you would be better off going to Pepipoo.com's speeding ticket forum, where they can give better, more qualified advice.
  • Thanks for the advice hopefully its just a misread number plate :)
