Parking fine received after 14 day reduced period
Hello, I received a parking ticket through the post on Monday for a parking offence from the start of February. I know I parked incorrectly, but there was no ticket on the windscreen when I returned to the car (so I assumed I'd gotten away with it). The charge on the letter is £110 with no mention of a reduced rate which…

I dropped my son off outside school at 8.55am, and I stopped on the yellow zigzag lines for approx 10 seconds while my son got out. My engine was running and I was in the drivers seat. I'd like to appeal the fine which has arrived this morning. They also have the wrong time on the letter - it states 9.03am, when it…

Quick guide to parking regulations
I don't pay for parking very often, but occasionally do. Just wondered if there's a handy guide to spotting which parking charges are and are not enforceable? I park in Guildford sometimes and the car parks seem to say 'Guildford council', so I guess that means the charges are enforceable? OTOH, I parked in Whipps Cross…

Excel Parking - Sheffield Eyre Lane Underground (Jury's Inn)
Hello everyone, I've been parking in this car park for months on more or less a daily basis. There is a common practice of many motorists parking outside of the marked bays, a practice which I have observed and took part many times in without attracting a single parking ticket. I actually think it is clever of Excel…

Turned left down a no left turn - cycles only?
Just wondering, I was an absolute muppet earlier and turned down a cycles only road, not sure if the cameras on the building opposite were specifically for enforcement purposes or just regular CCTV! If I was caught on camera, what's the damage likely to be? Searched the internet and it seems split between being just a…

Highview see reasonable time as no more than 1 minute!
Letter from Highview today: Parked at 19:05:49 and left at 19:08:34. (whats that around 2.5mins) Parked again same day between 22:28 and 22:29. In both instances I overstayed the parking limit. So it looks like they are now enforcing 1min maximum parking times. lol!

Disabled parking / hospitals
Hello all My local hospital has very few disabled bays. Several patients tell me they end up paying for parking. By the time they finish their appointment, blood test, pharmacy, nearly half a day is taken up - and obviously expensive. Can I just tell them to park in any spot & ignore the invoices that come through the post?

My daughter has 2 private parking tickets and a company called civil enforcement is sending her demands for payment and she has told them with my advice that as she was not the driver she is not liable and is under no obligation to tell them who was driving. In their reply to my daughter they say that they will issue court…
